Abstract:
This article examines ideas and concepts to preserve cultural folklore traditions and customs that have been accumulated in the past by many generations. Many new challenges and new knowledge have emerged in the modern technological society, but they must not lead to the loss and neglect of old national traditions and living cultural heritage.
The study presents concepts for learning and sharing traditions and living heritage through folklore championships and festivals. Definitions, classifications, overview of types of folklore events are presented. Some innovative approaches to preserving, learning and sharing knowledge about live heritage through national and international folklore championships and folklore festivals, digital transformation of folk music and dance, digital presentations, video materials, online television broadcasts and TV Championships are considered. Students from universities from whole world take part in the organized folklore events and championships. Knowledge is exchanged between participants of different ages, culture and professions. In this way, a continuing education in the field of living heritage, its globalization, internationalization, lifelong learning, multicultural diversity and many new experiences is realized.
An online information system for organizing and storing the knowledge about the live heritage through competitive folklore events and festivals of the European Assosiation of Folklore Festivals - EAFF has been created. The information structure of the trilingual software system is built on 7 levels. With the help of the created software environment, hundreds of national championships and other events are organized around the world, thus preserving the memory of the nations for future generations.Keywords:
