Abstract:
Greek students have been experiencing a modern-technology-based teaching system over the past years. What is being therefore examined here is the technological systems flexibility in assisting youngsters in the learning procedure promoting at the same time life-long learning as well as the technologies positive contribution in both students’ cognitive and affective domain. Focus is also placed on the existing Curriculum adaptation in relation to these changes. New technologies, namely computers, IWB and you tube, are conductive to the students’ being active participants of the learning procedure, formulating at the same time those conditions in which more students from various social strata and races will be able to familiarize with the knowledge provided and interact with each other within a collaborative and productive environment concurrently reinforcing their autonomy and self-confidence for their future and eventual incorporation in the social environment. A first attempt has therefore been made in teaching philological subjects and economics through new technologies. Based on scientific research, the majority of students address positively this educational innovation although a lot of work still remains to be done towards its full advancement.
