Abstract:
In this paper, the toolkit was developed
(a) to describe all modules taught in the Philological Faculty in Bologna-compliant terms, specifying aims, learning outcomes, assessment criteria and ECTS values and
(b) to specifie the contribution that each module makes to the development of students’ communicative proficiency in the relevant language in terms of the proficiency levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is described.
The toolkit includes a version of the European Language Portfolio (ELP) that is tailored to the specific needs of the Philological Faculty and mediates the approach underlying the toolkit to students. The toolkit draws on resources available from Bologna-related websites and the Council of Europe.
An innovative approach to specifying language learning outcomes at university level (combining already familiar Bologna-compliant descriptors with the proficiency levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is used.
For that purpose custom software tool LinkDesc has been developed. Keywords:
