Abstract:
This paper describes a statistical methodology for determining the priority expectations for groups of students, on the basis of qualifications given to their teachers. The basic information is contained in the file Monitex, which is sent to the directors with the results of the evaluations. With this characterization by means of the priority expectations groups, principals and teachers may apply better strategies and actions to meet the priority expectations of their different groups and receive a better evaluation. This type of work put in evidence that it is possible and necessary to take full advantage of the abundant quantitative information obtained from evaluations of teachers.
The statistical analysis of the semester evaluations of teachers allow, with statistical basis, identify the expectations priority groups of students from each academic area. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) confirm that the priority expectations diverge between the groups of students.
The Monitex global and supplemented, allow directors and teachers may better understand the expectations priority of the different groups that make up your academic area and thereby implement best strategies and actions "the measure" for satisfy them, thereby improving the perception of the performance of teachersAll of this to contribute to the continuous improvement of the teaching-learning process.
