Abstract:
A major difficulty encountered in developing distance education programs is the lack of teachers in teaching methodologies in online education. Most professionals working today in this kind of education was not formed with the use of technological resources. To act with quality in distance education a teacher needs to know the content to be worked, has technical knowledge and to be competent in distance education methodologies. Capacity to mediate with quality in the virtual environment is essential to the teacher. The objective of this paper is to discuss educational strategies that can be adopted in the education distance, as moderated chat and case study. The research constitutes a qualitative analysis, descriptive, with research bibliography. It was part of the research factors that influence the mediation of the teacher in virtual learning environment, including time and group size. With the advancement of technology, every moment brings new possibilities for mediation for the pedagogical work. Therefore, the teacher must be in constant training, because the more he experiences different situations, the better prepared he will be to experience new situations, different roles and different methodologies. The survey results indicate that it is necessary to develop proposals for development for teachers to change their traditional educational practices, as conventionally rooted in presentiality, starting to realize the power and potential that is the Distance Education.
