Abstract:
Researchers in Russia have come to understand the importance of integration into world academic society. The number of the articles published in the largest scientific databases such as Scopus and Web of Science has been steadily rising. Offices and centers of academic writing in major universities of Russia provide assistance in such aspects of preparing an article as: scientific value, correctness of structure, style and language, as well as proof reading by a native speaker. Tutorship is the structure some universities choose to facilitate the procedure of preparing an article for publication.

The paper aims to discuss the role the tutors play in the structure of the office of academic writing of the South Ural State University. Their main task here is to correct the articles in what concerns structure, style and language. To understand their role and to highlight problems they face the tutors were interviewed. Their answers were recorded and analyzed. Based on the answers, the recommendation on their work were given.
