Abstract:
The text raises the question of the use of Facebook in education. Using social media in the teaching process it is now regarded as a requirement of civilization. It seems that it's time to reflect on the real possibilities of using Facebook in the teaching process. Although the solutions in this area may be different, they all should be subordinated to the achievement of learning objectives and should provide high-quality teaching. Teaching obliges us to assimilate new technologies. This article will explain the concept of digital teaching understood as teaching strongly implementing new technologies, in this case Facebook. Therefore, the integration of education and technology becomes necessary. Facebook as the didactic tool will be discussed as forming a "contact groups" in which digital communication is appreciated, as well as the development of social interaction and exchange of ideas. The validity and form of conducting education on Facebook will be analyzed, in particular problem teaching and horizontal cooperation between participants of the training. In addition, research on the problems related to the assessment of the effectiveness of digital teaching using Facebook will be undertaken and the results of pilot studies will be presented.
