Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic has been a moment of change and adaptation in all aspects of our lives, including data protection. With the shift to remote work and online education, the security of sensitive information has become a critical priority for organizations and educational institutions.

In this context, this study aims to explore and highlight the educational benefits brought about by the pandemic in terms of data protection, focusing on the lessons learned from this tumultuous period. Specifically, we aim to identify the main changes and innovations in data protection practices in the educational environment during the pandemic and to evaluate the impact of these changes on the awareness and education of employees and students in the field of data security. Additionally, we aim to analyse how these lessons can be integrated into future policies and practices to improve information security in the educational and organizational settings.

This study employs a questionnaire as a research method targeted at employees and students from various educational institutions and organizations. The questionnaire assesses participants' awareness of data protection practices, the impact of the pandemic experience on their understanding of cybersecurity, and their opinions on how these lessons should be integrated into future policies and practices.

The research results provide a clear perspective on the educational benefits of the lessons learned from the pandemic regarding data protection. These benefits include an increase in awareness and skills in the field of information security.

By highlighting the educational benefits of the pandemic experience in the field of data protection, this study provides essential information for the development of future education and awareness strategies and programs regarding information security in the educational and organizational settings.
