Abstract:
An Education Management Information System (EMIS) is a system for collecting, integrating, processing and disseminating data to support decision-making, policy analysis and the formulation, planning, monitoring and management of the education system at all levels. It is a system in which people, technologies, models, methods, processes, procedures, rules and regulations work together to provide education leaders, decision-makers and managers at all levels with a comprehensive set of relevant, reliable, unambiguous and timely integrated information and data to help them meet their responsibilities.

In this paper we propose:
- a data-driven architecture to guarantee data feedback via the different varieties of sources, formats and interoperability of different applications, all thanks to an ontological model and generic connectors.
- an adaptive architecture to enable predictive analysis, guarantee better decision-making and, above all, adapt to the African context with its strong operational constraints (limited bandwidth, unavailable Internet access, frequent power cuts, low computer processing power, lack of data security).

EMIS, adaptative, architecture, data.
