Abstract:
The present work shows different works done by called the Geoenvironmental Group of the Civil Engineering School of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (GEG). In them the GEG has worked along with Industry companies to develop the best solution to a given problem. Besides it also explains how the University makes a diffusion of this work among the industry to show the work of the researchers.

Two examples of different works will be explained on this document, the studies and the actions that were taken to stabilise the foundations of 25 low-rise buildings in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real, central Spain) and the studies that are being developed for Ciudad Real Airport.

In both cases the GEG has cooperated with local industries in order to achieve an optimum solution to the presented problems. This cooperation allows both parts to have different points of view for the problem and working on the solution bearing in mind aspects that could had been forgotten if they had been working in their own.

After the work is done, the GEG has been invited in different occasions to collaborate in meetings to explain it work to different industry companies. Several months after the stabilizations works were finished in Alcazar, a meeting was organized by the OTRI of University of Castilla-La Mancha (research results transference office) and the town council. There the work that had been developed to solve the problem was explained, and it was showed how University and private companies can work along in these situations. It is important aim how they can beneficiate of the experience of each other, and end with an optimized solution of the problem based on both parts cooperation.
