Abstract:
The paper substantiates the role of entrepreneurial education in economic development, it is evaluated as one of the important factors of employment. Special emphasis is placed on university entrepreneurial education. The influence of entrepreneurship education on the employment rate is substantiated, the factors hindering entrepreneurship education are identified.

In addition, the difficulties that prevent women from choosing entrepreneurial education and to start business are discussed – these difficulties arise from individual, situational and business idea influencing factors.

The issue of entrepreneurial education of women living in rural areas is considered to be especially relevant. It is considered that the "key" to the employment and development of entrepreneurial activity, as well as diversification of activity, is mainly in entrepreneurial education.

In the modern world, entrepreneurship education has moved from business education programs and classrooms to the countries’ education policy level. In addition to economics and business study courses, other study courses are also focused on the development of entrepreneurial competencies (for example subjects studying art, literature or engineering can in turn develop entrepreneurial competencies). Development of entrepreneurial competencies has become important at all levels of education, which does not aim to make pupils or students as entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurial competence does not mean learning how to start a business or create and manage a social enterprise. Developing entrepreneurial competencies involves developing skills to see opportunities, develop ideas, manage resources, and implement entrepreneurial ideas. These general transferable skills make a person in any profession more successful. This explains the support for the development of entrepreneurial competences at the state level. The development of entrepreneurial competencies in Georgia is reflected in the country's development strategy and it is part of the education policy.

The methodology of the research is the bibliographic analysis of scientific works of researchers and reports of various organizations. The differences in relevant indicators are identified by the method of comparative analysis by years and countries according the indicators of education, including entrepreneurial education indicators. Quantitative research has been conducted to reveal public attitudes about entrepreneurship education. The results are processed with MS EXCEL and SPSS software packages. The conditions and mechanisms of entrepreneurship education are determined by the matrix scheme, the challenges of entrepreneurship education are identified by factor analysis.

Conclusions are made on the challenges on entrepreneurship education in the context of the global education crisis, and recommendations are developed on the directions for improvement of entrepreneurship education.
