Abstract:
Considering the growing complexity of the world of work, caused by Industry 4.0, the training of new highly qualified professionals is a challenge that schools face. The mission to prepare students with innovative technologies, making them a leader in innovation in this new world under construction, is the challenge to be faced. In Brazil, an audacious project is being put into practice, with the renovation of teaching structures in Elementary and High Schools, to enable better integration with the university in the areas of technology and, finally, with companies. However, a major barrier must be overcome, which is the process of teaching Computing, and in particular, Artificial Intelligence (AI). At the moment, many schools do not have structures or platforms for AI studies in fields involving Artificial Neural Networks, Robotics, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, among others. However, it is possible to build a knowledge trail to be developed in AI studies through Internet of Things. This proposal is part of a training process so that students can acquire skills in these areas, becoming increasingly qualified for the world of work. So, the objective in this work is to develop students' digital literacy and Computational Thinking, improve their skills to work with digital technologies and introduce new methods and ways of learning for AI through Internet of Things, using development platforms for Internet of Things: Arduino, Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano.
