Abstract:
The article examines the challenges faced by many lecturers:
1) constantly improve their skills in the usage of modern information technologies;
2) master new forms, methods, and environments of e-learning;
3) effectively work with computer-based testing tools to assess the educational achievements of students.
The authors describe their course "Online Learning and Computer Tests in Moodle" developed in RUDN University for professional training of lecturers on three topics:
1) new types of learning, innovative teaching techniques, modern e-learning environments and global educational platforms;
2) online learning, massive open online courses, advantages and disadvantages for university to have its own on-premises online courses combined with educational integrating projects and computer-based testing, distance education, blended learning in Moodle;
3) the assessment of educational achievements of students, computer-based testing, statistical analysis of test results and quality in Moodle.Keywords:
