Abstract:
The authors of the paper propose a design framework suitable for relating activity and knack of trainee in industry environment. The proposed monitoring system helps the organization to provide judgment to the management regarding the preference relating to job and performance and accordingly suggest best fit for a project. This process includes not only training but also a monitoring of a trainee relating to learning, performing and other related aspects during his / her employment in any organization. Our proposed industry training curriculum is SCORM compliant.

Industry on-job training is a special kind of training where the employee of any particular organization is trained to perform as per the requirements of the organization. In general, on-job training is given to those employees who lack any particular skill-set. Continuous training also helps employees to improve their skill-sets. On-job training can also be done using any e-learning solution. E-learning a new methodology in learning developed during mid-90s, provides flexibility, and other advantages over traditional learning techniques. It cut costs and motivate learner in various scenarios and is preferred in many learning situation. It also overcomes the boundaries of geographical areas and restricted time slots. In industry, during on-job training, if both training and monitoring of activity and performance may be done using electronic techniques, it may be cost effective for a particular organization.

We propose here on-job industry training and monitoring system where an employee should be given cognitive and psychomotor education according to Bloom’s Taxonomy. This system works through five phases. In the first phase we select employees from an employee pool. In second phase selected employees will take a basic relevant training and system will track their activity and knack. It will generate a list according to their preferences by using fuzzy technique. In third phase selected employees are subjected to skill set training according to their given preferences. In fourth phase, employees will go for a motivational training if needed. In the fifth phase, the employees will be assigned to projects according to their knack and preferred skills wherever they fit most.

Goal of the proposed system is to improve productivity of a company by increasing the job satisfaction among the employees. This is done by placing them in the project of their natural aptitude, as far as possible, by finding their skill as well as behavioral inclination.
