Abstract:
The article is devoted to the problem of foreign language teaching to pharmacy students through blended learning. The experimental group is represented by multicultural undergraduates – students from Zimbabwe, Morocco, Iran, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Colombia and Russia who study at Kazan Federal University. The role of cultural diversity in teaching a foreign language is outlined. The study is focused on teaching professional medical English to pharmacy students. The role of blended learning is emphasized. The study identifies the use of new technologies, mobile applications in blended learning – yandex messenger, telemost, LMS Moodle. Special attention is given to the potential of the English language for pharmacy specialists. The article presents a pedagogical experiment in the context of teaching a foreign language to pharmacy students through blended learning. The results of the experimental work let us speak about the conditions necessary for successful implementation of blended learning technologies in teaching a multicultural group of university students, as well as about effective approaches to facilitate foreign language teaching in the professional field of medicine.
