Abstract:
The education system of Georgia has faced a number of challenges in recent decades, most of those were motivated by the desire to introduce innovations and thus get closer to European education. One of the biggest phenomena of the current year for the whole world is the situation created by the COVID 19 pandemic and the challenges related to it. Georgia, and the education system of Georgia more or less managed to cope with the problem and find solutions despite any advance preparation in most directions. One of them was the attempt to smoothly implement the educational process at the higher education level and, consequently, to switch to the distance learning mode from March 2020. The access to e-learning in the country's higher education institutions dates back to 2011. But not all training programs in Higher Education Institutions covered the e-learning format. Consequently, due to little experience, the transition to distance learning has created certain barriers. The challenges faced by representatives of higher education institutions and students have been the subject of numerous discussions and debates. The purpose of the present work is, To determine effective strategies for teaching remotely; To establish important aspects while choosing homework within remote teaching; To Select effective knowledge testing-assessment mechanisms and offer them to Higher Educational Institution staff. Research methods: observation, analyses, (of given and fulfilled tasks, checking results and related comments, assessments, etc. within a learning course), online survey, telephone interview. Research outcomes: While giving lectures remotely, it is very important to choose strategies purposefully; It is necessary to choose relevant assessment mechanisms; It is significant to measure the amount of homework to be given, intensity and reasonable terms for their fulfillment, to give tasks, that require involvement of independent work and conscientiousness of learners; It is necessary to analyze results of given remote lectures and to make future plans correctly to improve the evinced problems. For this purpose, apart from relevant preparatory work, it is important for higher educational institution staff to cooperate and coordinate.

Since remote learning is becoming more and more relevant through the world nowadays, it is expected to integrate it into usual learning environment, which will never give a desirable result without relevant correct system introduction and implementation.
