Abstract:
It is well known that currently, interest to the natural sciences is quite low all over the world and physics is regarded as especially unpopular subject. In this respect, Georgia is not exclusion. Hence, popularization of physics among the school students, enhancing of their motivation in relation to this subject is of particular significance. Results of research conducted in 2017-2018 at Tbilisi Classical Gymnasium by the authors of this article showed that extensive use of modern innovative technologies in the process of teaching of physics would significantly improve to motivation. For this purpose, with the support of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, at Ilia State University the project is implemented with the aim of development of animations depicting the physical phenomena, their inclusion into the teaching process, studying of the results and finally improvement of the level of physics teaching and learning.

At the conference the results of the above research will be presented, together with the analysis of significance and various advantages of introduction of the digital technologies in the modern education process at secondary schools. Use of virtual laboratories provides unlimited opportunities of modeling of the phenomena. The macro- and micro-processes can be visually presented to the students and this increases their interest and motivation of in-depth and thorough studying of the phenomena. Use of the digital resources contribute also to formation and development of students’ creative thinking skills, as well as adjustment of the knowledge of the subject, standardization and further deepening thereof.
