Abstract:
Communication software has been used intensively during the Covid19 Pandemic but continues to be used since then, even after professors and students resumed meeting in person. Different software for online communication will be analyzed and compared regarding their User Experience Design (UX-Design). The paper identifies User Experience Writing (UX-Writing) criteria for user interfaces and subsequently is using them for this research because of their high relevance and impact regarding users’ motivation and communication efficiency. The paper will analyze two different communication software separately and subsequently both will undergo a comparative analysis. Based on the findings of the analysis the paper defines potential improvements of the two communication software in order to offer a better usability for both professors and students while keeping the user interface simple, compact and easy to understand. The results can be used to enhance online teaching and online communication especially in higher education.
