Abstract:
The present study aims at discussing theoretical and practical applications of reflective processes on Humanization and Techniques in Basic Teacher Education in the state of Espirito Santo, Brazil. Participants of the study were gathered from the following courses of the Federal University of Espírito Santo - UFES, in the distance mode: Pedagogy, Physics, History, Chemistry, Philosophy and Biology. The study development and analysis was based on the proposal of the theoretical and practical unification of initial compulsory subjects of these courses, in different formats, aimed for the technical and reflective ambiance of the virtual environment of the Moodle platform for the development of the degree courses. The proposal was made by the Group of Studies and Research on Humanization and Technique - GEPHT, formed by teachers and students of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Arts of the Federal University of Espírito Santo-UFES, Brazil. The unified discipline, with an average workload of 75 hours, included web conferencing, teaching materials published on the platform, mentoring, specialist teacher support and instructional designers. The central question that permeated the discipline can be summarized in the following proposition: Can the reflected teaching in the technical interdisciplinar form bring other theoretical bases that go beyond the merely instrumental view of technical objects in structurally technological environments to teaching and learning processes of teacher education? The theoretical bases of the study considered authors such as Gilbert Simondon, Martin Haidegger, Pierre Lévy and Ortega Y. Gasset. The evaluation practice activity of the discipline sought the union between theory and practice with the students’ groups construction of WebQuests. Data were analyzed from tutors reports and results obtained from the aforementioned activity. Analysis of the data pointed to a high level of satisfaction with discipline with 70% of acceptance while also suggesting the continuation in face-toface teacher training courses at UFES.Keywords:
