Abstract:
Animals play a crucial role in emotional development in children, youngs and people with special needs who require an special support. We will try to reflect with this poster some examples and situations that try to graphically ilustrate the benefits of animal assisted therapy.
Contexts of action and targets to this kind of activities are lead, are very different and so also the result obtained in each case. The overall objetive of this activity is to facilitate through the emotional support and motivation that exercises without doubt the presence of another living being, the achievement of the objetives of the intervention in each particular student and with his/her group of reference.
Several years of work in the area of therapeutic activity with animals like an enhancer of the teaching-learning process, shows the success of interventions and the need to justify this intervention in the evaluation, the formation of professional involved and systematic planning of the working sessions, searching the welfare of the participants.
