Abstract:

To obtain the desired objectives in a certain academic year, it is highly desirable to plan and organise the students’ efforts from the beginning of the course. With the aim of helping students in this task, a project was developed to provide them a personalised calendar, only with the dates of the modules where they are enrolled, with the schedule of the mid-term, ordinary and extraordinary exams. For this purpose, an online management platform was created in the School of Civil Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Students can access the platform through the web with their institutional credentials. The platform will enable students to download a personalised file containing their exam schedule. Such file will be managed by the students once they import it into Google Calendar through a browser. This personalised methodology allows each student to have their information on all their linked devices, reducing the likelihood of confusion and enhancing their planification tools.
