Abstract:
The Annual Bibliography Cervantino (ABC) is a project of the Cervantes Project, at Texas A & M University (TAMU), designed to work from a collaborative network formed by a team of correspondents. The Cervantes Project Bibliography focus their efforts on manage and publish the most representatives works around Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra’s bibliography since 1585, year of La Galatea was published. This project was started not as a repository but as an important catalogue of Cervantes’ works.

Efforts to create a tool capable of performing this work have led to research on multiple platforms without having found a satisfactory performance. A first phase of the project involved the development of CIBO Index for Digital Libraries area of the department of Computer Science at TAMU. However, this tool has been out of operation since the time of trial due to a technical problem, and by now it is still not resolved. In a second stage of finding a technical solution for the project has been tested with a free software license (open source). This one was developed as a part of a class in introduction to the concept of Digital Libraries ran on Computer Science Department of Texas A&M University. In this project we used Drupal, which is a content management system that allows it to manage files in various formats and deploy them on the web. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate how Bibus Bibliographic Database tool can be adapted to the Cervantes Project Bibliography through an open source as Bibus. The final goal of this work would be to enrich the online research project creating a content manager catalog for the Cervantes Project.
