Abstract:
The present work aims to present a critical reflection about the integration and dialogue between theoretical and practical contents in projective disciplines of the course of Product Design, at School of Design, University of Minas Gerais, ED- UEMG. The choice of Projective Practices started from the premise that such disciplines are the most visible point of convergence of other knowledge of the course, as well as the point of greatest potential for problems to occur between discourse and actual dynamics of design activity. The work was developed from a review of literature, reading and interpreting scholarly documents, a questionnaire in the group of professors of the period 2006-2013 (the period of the new curriculum) and, finally, the confrontation between all points above. At the end of this development, the initial hypothesis was confirmed: the integration proposed in the pedagogical project between theoretical and practical knowledge in the projective disciplines of the Course of Product Design is still inconsistent but the remaining gaps point to the deepening of research.
