Abstract:
Considering that childhood is an indispensable stage in the education of human beings, especially important to arouse scientific aspects on pre-schoolers, a series of finger puppets were designed to represent certain chemical elements inside the context of the periodic table.

Each designed series was done by groups, emphasizing the relation of the chemical symbol and the origin of its name. At present there are physically already five sets of puppets:

1. Family of rare gases or "the" "rare" (group XVIII) (5), explaining the reasons for their names.
2. Family of the halogens the group XVII (5), in which the three conditions of the matter coexist
3. The alkaline ones (5), all so similar and also so reactive.
4. The family XV (5), so different among them.
5. The discoverers of elements (6): Ancient times, Sweden, UK, USA, Russia, Germany and France. Every one of them represents its country with its typical costume together with a program designed for this end.

With this didactic tool, learning is claimed through playful activities which allow the children to understand the importance of the “chemical alphabet ".
