Abstract:
Interpreting is an activity familiar to human beings for many centuries. However, approaches to do it has changed through the whole history of its existence. Different schools develop their own vision of the process.
The objective of the study is to explore the skills of future interpreters according to the demands of translation companies and the existing situation at the professional market. The article reveals factors leading to higher efficiency in training interpreters at universities and gives the essence of modern school. Data for this study were taken from different domestic and foreign researches through the last decade.
The scientific novelty of the study is in working out the new ways in teaching interpreting at higher educational universities.
The results can be applied to a system of teaching interpreting according to the urgent demands: skills should be of a much higher level and more diverse. We have to be ready for fast changes as a perspective. What is more essential is understanding that changes are of permanent character, so we have to be flexible, perceptive to new approaches and show more efficiency.
