Abstract:
This research delves into the assessment of Qur’an memorization techniques implemented at Al-Itqaan Academy in Kaduna, focusing on their effectiveness in shaping Islamic educational outcomes. Employing a survey methodology, the study utilized a questionnaire administered to selected students and teachers across five branches of Al-Itqaan Academy Kaduna. Two hundred and fifty participants were sampled using a multi-stage technique. The investigation revealed the successful implementation of Malaysian, Mauritanian, African Sub’is Circle, Information and Communications Technology, and Nigerian traditional Islamic school memorization techniques. However, Turkish Othman, Singaporean, and Internal and External memory techniques demonstrated partial implementation. The study concludes with recommendations for regular training for teachers in various Qur'an memorization techniques and the establishment of a structured Qur'an curriculum with a planned weekly and daily scheme for Islamic schools in Kaduna metropolis, aiming to enhance the overall effectiveness of the memorization process.
