Abstract:

At present, the political, trade, cultural and educational ties of the Russian Federation with the leading countries of the world, primarily with China, are developing and strengthening. This fact causes an increase in foreign students in the Kazan Federal University. This article contains a description and detailed analysis of the electronic educational resource “Acquaintance with Russian vocabulary”, which is intended for first-year philology students of Kazan Federal University who study Russian as a foreign language. The resource consists of 6 thematic modules, each of which contains videos, texts, tests for basic conversational topics: “Life” (room, apartment, household items, qualitative and relative adjectives), “City and urban transport” (map of the city, verbs of movement, names of public transport and their characteristics), “Food” (products, names of national dishes, table etiquette phrases, recipes), “Work and study” (name and description of the specialty, leading educational institutions of Russia, scientists), “Family” (name relatives, adjectives with a value of age, character traits), “daily routine” (designation of time of day, habits, description of cultural leisure). The resource can be used as an additional learning tool, designed to help organize students' independent work, with the possibility of an individual learning pace. The electronic resource was successfully tested when studying the course "Practical Course of a Second Foreign Language" among linguists of the Kazan Federal University.
