Abstract:
Quantitative Techniques for Business Multidimensional Variables is a course offered in the official Master Quantitative Techniques Management belonging to the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration from the University of Granada. This course deals with some of the techniques of multivariate analysis among which are: Principal Components, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis and Discriminant Analysis. For the development of classes is essential computer use by students due to the complexity and laborious task. In addition, students should learn to use an appropriate tool to perform precise multivariate analysis. The use of not very complex and used by real companies software is the best choice. SPSS statistical software includes this type of analysis with a comprehensive and clear results output. On the one hand, to obtain complete results output is perfect for teaching, because it allows the student to understand step by step the problem of multivariate analysis. On the other hand, this allows us to propose a methodology for the evaluation system where students are evaluated by computer with advantages that entails.
