Abstract:
In our days the presence of crisis in the field of humanitarian education caused by socio-political, geopolitical, and cultural aspects of the development of society is recognized by many scientists. Today, the Humanities are experiencing a methodological crisis, there is an increasing subjectivization of science. At the same time, new approaches and methods used in historical researches allow overcoming crisis phenomena and expanding the conceptual framework of humanitarian studies. But apparently our society is not ready to give up humanitarian education and demonstrates its intention to rethink the negative processes that takes place in this area and try to resolve the contradictions that have formed in it.

International cooperation between universities can be one of the ways to overcome the crisis. Thanks to Russia's active entry into the Bologna system in the 2000s, and the expansion of international educational partnership, both the teaching and student communities of Russian universities are gradually being drawn into the educational environment of partner countries, in particular France. One of the ways to overcome the current situation in humanitarian knowledge and education can be considered the development of international cooperation in the humanitarian sphere.

In this regard, the experience of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere between Russia and France is very indicative. The Agreement signed on June 29, 2015 between the Government of the Russian Federation and the government of the French Republic on mutual recognition of education, qualifications and academic degrees, as well as the creation of the French-Russian University, played a major role in fruitful scientific cooperation.

The French-Russian (Network) University was established in accordance with the Protocol of 21 January 2016. The Charter of the French-Russian University (FRU), founded by four Russian and four French universities, was signed on 4 April 2016 in the framework of the Russian-French Commission on Cooperation in the Field of Culture, Education and Youth Exchange .

Joint research in the field of historical Sciences made it possible to overcome the crisis phenomena, contribute to the promotion of innovative projects in humanitarian knowledge and education, the search for new methods and approaches in the conduct of humanitarian research.

Research and educational activities within the framework of the French-Russian University in the field of "history" could become a significant addition to international academic cooperation and a real mechanism for overcoming the crisis of the humanities.
