Abstract:
In this work we present different lines of research that the building engineering students can develop after they have completed their graduate studies. In order to this, we are able to address different subjects such as: theoretical studies of the resonance frequency of mortar and concrete, propagation forms of vibrations in buildings and their relation to the current national regulation and even systems of measurement and detection of vibrations .

Also we introduced students in the different methods and materials used in the investigation thief for reduce the vibrations under the limit fixed from the national regulations. For all of this, we propose different constructive details that our students should be able to choose the constructive solution that best resolve the issue raised.

Our education program is not only based in the theory, we introduced students using the different machines and in systems characterization of acoustic parameters involved in the transmission of vibrations. For this, students should make a computer model describing the parts of the experiment they have to develop. After that, students are going to make the tests in the laboratory, they are going to make the testers with different dosages of cement, sand, gravel and water all identified by the teacher.

The aim of this method is to make the student able for design his own tests for measuring the propagation speed of the vibrations, and finally whit this, compare it with the model made.
