Abstract:
The European Higher Education Area (EEES) is assuming a major challenge for the University Community, especially for teaching and research staff, which is involved in the teaching-learning process in an actively way, and this is developing a paradigmatic shift for teachers and students.

Among the methodologies used in the processes of educational innovation, systemic thinking plays a major role when working with mental maps in order to highlight the essence of what is known and visual organization. In this article we expose how to use these mental maps to organize a particular subject and how to complete it assigning durations, precedence and resources to each of the activities, and procedures to follow them. The software MindManager is used for the design of mental mapping and Ms-Project is used to establish the relationships between activities, their duration, resources and follow-up. In summary, we offer a suite of applications for self-timed organization and management related to educational activities planning.
