Abstract:
The information technologies progress, in the last four decades, has changed the offering of on line information resources. The amount of information with academic value in the net is growing day by day. In this context, the information competencies development has role to developing skills in the users, of the higher education, to recognize a fundamental role on developing skills in the users of higher education, on recognizing when information is needed and the extent of it, on accessing to the needed information effectively and efficiently, on evaluate the information and its sources critically, on incorporate selected information into one’s knowledge base and on use information effectively to accomplish a specific purpose. This paper discusses, that to develop this skills, it is necessary that information professionals play an active role in the assessment and training of final users. To do this we consider of real importance the developing of instructional models; these models must be flexible to be adequate to users specifications. The models efficacy and methods from the instruction process in higher education is a topic which must be discuss by information professionals and the academies of these institutions. We think, that is important the complexity in the design of instructional models for the developing of informative competencies to attend users particular specifications and needs.
