THE INNOVATE PROJECT IN BASIC EDUCATION: POSSIBILITIES AND LIMITATIONS OF INTEGRATION OF ICT IN PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS

Abstract:
The XXI century has brought a range of digital resources, enabling multimedia, mobile and flexible strategies, able to characterize the contemporary education, assuming fluidity, interactivity and accessibility to information, constituting the agenda of knowledge school. The traditional forms of learning lose space and meaning in a permanent innovative context and becomes indispensable the appropriation of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) by teachers, contextualizing the school ambience in order to explore various tools, such as: blogs, webquests, virtual communities, conceptual maps, virtual libraries, social networks and virtual environments of teaching-learning. The Innovate Project focuses on the integration of ICT in the planning and development of innovative pedagogical practices in basic education, promoting new teaching choreography in contemporary educational scenario. The choice of series / year Basic Education was given deliberately, considering the school communities involved, the predisposition of pedagogical coordination of schools and teachers to interact with and about the proposal and the technological infrastructure of schools for the development of the work. We opted for two schools of Basic Education, the public system of Santa Maria-RS: a state school Basic Education located in the social environment of the university and a school belonging to the Military College System of Brazil. Teacher education programs have involved its focus on professional basic education, being included in the curriculum disciplines that aim at theoretical and practical knowledge of ICT in education. The methodological assumptions underpinning the research is connected-training (MACIEL, 2006), considering ICT as mediating activities, with the goal of fostering new choreography teaching within the basic school and seeking coherence with public policies that encourage the inclusion of ICT in public schools as promoting significant learning in the direction of a public free, quality, education, interpreted by us as pedagogical excellence. The proposed actions and studies involving students of undergraduate courses, students of specialization, master's and doctoral, research professors and teachers of Basic Education. Search results as training qualified students working on the job, in addition to researchers and teachers, in-service training of teachers of the schools involved and the improvement of student learning in Basic Education. The project has its realization in the school year the schools being renovated to provide continuity in training activities of teachers in schools.
