Abstract:
Born in the era of digital evolution, the entire education system must respond to the needs and desires of today's students because they are born as "digital natives", and the process is irreversible. Resources in the digital education domain, online content, and virtual educational spaces offer a diversity of information and opportunities for long-term learning. This topic was chosen to demonstrate the usefulness of digital education within primary school activities, as well as out of the desire to improve the quality of learning.

The purpose of the research is to demonstrate that if teachers use digital applications and tools in primary school lessons, then we can observe an increase in the efficiency of teaching activities, as well as an increase in students' engagement in their own learning.

The research was conducted during the year 2023 on a sample that included several categories of subjects: primary school teachers, parents, students participating in the experiment, and school directors. The research instruments used were questionnaire surveys, interviews, and experiments.

Digital tools are defining elements for improving children's academic performance, when they are used reasonably. They support students with disabilities to integrate into society and the educational process, making learning more efficient, activities becoming more attractive and engaging, and students are more curious and motivated to learn.

According to study results, many primary school teachers use digital tools and applications in school activities, aiming for the active participation of children, as well as the development of cognitive performance.
