Abstract:
Unfortunately, in classroom management, like in any other group or organization management, many teachers sometimes say they have lost control of students. The phenomenon is often found on other levels of educational management, not just on a classroom level. However, according to the theories of classical management, evaluation and control represent only the last stage of management activities. In this context, the paper aims to show that before losing control of students, teachers and other educational representatives had often missed other important stages of the management process, such as planning, organizing or coordinating. The lack of some steps in the educational management process has become more common during the Covid-19 pandemic. My research has been based on both secondary and primary sources of information. Therefore, the arguments invoked have been collected from literature, but they also stem from research based on surveys. The questions in the survey mainly revolve around issues related to the development of production-related practical activities of students from an engineering faculty. After making a focus-group with students from that faculty, we have been able to come up with some useful recommendations towards teachers and faculty management in order to help them avoid missing important steps in activities with students.
