Abstract:
What’s Flip and what’s not Flip? There are experiences based on the Flipped Learning model with good results that become to transform the dynamic of the class.

In contrast, in other cases, the implementation of the methodology fails, showing bad results. Why have these experiences failed? Sometimes, it is because of the assumption of wrong premises but, often, the main reason is that the student perception is strongly different than the teacher’s approach.

In this work, we are going to give some keys and tips for a successful implementation of Flipped Learning, also, we state in what issues we'll need to work deeply, and finally, we'll focus on how are our students and, what do they expect from their teacher. We'll also identify what are the main and most usual wrong assumptions of the model, and the results of these practices.

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is applying this methodology for five years, working in more than 400 subjects and over 200 teachers. In this work we’ll provide evidences and very interesting details that show the reasons of our arguments.
