Abstract:
The pandemic declared on March 11th by the World Health Organization due to COVID-19 caused that the face-to-face classes of the Spanish university system were canceled due to the obligatory and necessary period of confinement. Teaching had to move to an online learning system. Although initially, a short period of confinement was expected (between 15 or 20 days), the number of infections and deaths caused by COVID-19 forced the second semester of the 19/20 academic year to be carried out entirely online, (remote). In this context, a rapid adaptation of the traditional learning system to online learning is necessary, where the digital system takes on greater prominence. In this sense, the hybrid model that has been developed in recent years for the subject of Business Statistics I and II, which combines traditional teaching techniques, multimedia tools and neuroeducation techniques, allows not only greater adaptability of the learning system to each type of student (and an increase in motivation) but also an ability to adapt the learning process to a digital environment that is capable of offering inclusive, equitable and quality education in periods of health crisis such as the current one. In addition to the hybrid model, a remote evaluation system is developed where three characteristics are combined: 1) the duration of the exam, 2) the randomness of the answers and the questions, and 3) a remote exam supervision system (proctoring) with the objective of minimizes unethical behavior during the exam.
