Abstract:
Although there are more than one million people with some kind of hearing impairment in our country, there are not information about the educational and linguistic needs in this collective with the purpose to implement intervention programs to improve the quality of life of these people. Relatives of people with hearing disabilities are key to the overall development of this group, since in many cases they are the ones who in one way or another, involved in therapy. Therefore, in this paper the results of a focus group conducted with relatives of people with hearing disability on educational and linguistic needs, according to their experience is collected. To do this, it meets three basic characteristics: aspects of speech, language and psychology orientation. Also, the services they have received and / or receive in relation to these are discussed. Finally, the assessment of the participants about the need for different services or activities related to hearing disabilities therapist is collected
