Abstract:
This paper presents the outcomes of an educational innovation project that has been developed at the Polytechnic University of Valencia for two years (from 2021 to 2023). Funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (ICE), its general aim has been the consideration of students as active members of a learning community that collaborates and shares experiences of civic participation through the design and creation of audio-visual content focused on SDGs and the 2030 Agenda. With a total of 8 professors involved, 7 subjects have been involved in 3 Campuses of the Universitat Politècnica de València. All participating subjects included audiovisual creation activities in their curricular structure. To carry out this project, different participation strategies have been designed to promote SDGs: formal and non-formal strategies. On the one hand, audio-visual creation activities have been carried out with students of the subjects involved. First, they were given a specific workshop on SDGs. Subsequently, groups of 4 to 6 students planned, shot, and edited short films that were evaluated within the framework of the subject. On the other hand, an International Festival for university students (ODS EN CORTO) was organized and a web platform was launched in which all the educational material -formal and non-formal- made during the educational innovation project was included. As a final result of the project, a total of 49 short films have been made and are available on the web platform (https://odsencorto.webs.upv.es/) for public consultation and use as teaching material in the promotion of SDGs
