Abstract:
The edulearn experience of the international cooperation project developed by the Laboratory of Digital Culture & Hypermedia Museography – UCM Group Museum I+D+C, titled “Festival VideoBabel & Workshops of Multicultural Videos for the Capacitation in Audiovisual & Multimedia Communication in Perú and Bolivia”, motivated the creation of more than 60 videos during the festivla and workshops celebrated in 2010 in Perú & Bolivia. They also were shown in several showcases in Spain, México, Suithernland, Perú, Bolivia and through the Internet channel www.youtube.com/multiculturalvideos .
The experiment of educational innovation served for the capatitation and motivation of local collaborators for the continuity of initial Festival & Workshops Multicultural Videos now with the name also of Festival Video Babel, www.festivalvideobabel.org. The local sustainability of the awards and the organitation attracted more than 200 video artists participantes and it has allowed the launchment of the third edition of the Festival & Workshops.
Moreover, the project incremented the cooperation between international and local institutions, organizations and associations such as: UNESCO, Murotambo, Yaneramai, Grupo Chaski de Comunicación Audiovisual y su Red de Microcines, UNSAAC, Museo de Santo Domingo-Qorikancha, Comisión Fulbright y Embajada de USA en Perú, ICPNAC, Charlis Quispe & Co; Alianza Francesa en Perú, Escuela de Bellas Artes del Cusco, Escuela de Bellas Artes de Lima, Escuela de Audiovisuales de El Alto, Embajada de Polonia, Universidad de Lima, etc.
On the other hand, this edulearn experience obtained several media difussion and interviews: more than 12 tvs, radios, local and national journals in Perú and Bolivia, giving presence to the cooperation of the UCM and democratising the audiovisual and multimedia capacitation through the free participation of local artists, artisans, students, professor and/or professionals.
Finally, the different moments of the international cooperation edulearn, which were experienced during the Festival & Workshops, were audiovisually documented & collected, by the local collaborators, in an one hour documentary. This audiovisual virtual presentation integrates and summarized not only the whole experience but also the application of interactive educational models to teach with integrity and productive results audiovisual and multimedia theory, techniques and arts.
