Abstract:
Most European Higher Education institutions, through the Joint Quality Initiative Group, have determined the basis of learning for each academic year by designating this Dublin descriptor agreement. Based on this guideline, this paper intends to analyze if the leadership learning outcomes are in line with the guidelines of the Dublin descriptors. To that end, a quantitative methodology is used to analyze the relationship between the leadership learning outcomes presented in the summary description of the courses for the A3ES (accreditation agency for evaluation and accreditation of higher education in Portugal) and the academic cycle. This analysis starts from the hypothesis that the Leadership is more worked by the academy in the second cycle. The study analyzes this dichotomy between cycles for four dimensions. Starting from the Management courses (345) cataloged by CNAEF (National Classification of Education and Training Areas) up to the universe of courses. The result is that if the leadership comes more often in the masters than in the degrees, and if this trend is even more accentuated in the universe of social sciences.
