Abstract:
The aim of this work is evaluate the results obtained from the incorporation of PBL in the first year of the Master's Degree in Textile Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). This active methodology, included as a methodology for student assessment, aims to interconnect the knowledge taught in subjects taught with contents of industrial textile processes, aligning them to respond to the development of a particular product. This is intended to reinforce the horizontal and vertical coordination of the degree, detecting gaps in knowledge and reinforcing general, specific and transversal competences.
In order to evaluate the results of the PBL, two surveys have been prepared, one of them aimed at students who have taken the first year, where this methodology is applied, and another with specific questions for the lecturers of the subjects involved. Based on the answers received, the scope of the objectives set at the beginning is identified and assessed, carrying out a comparative analysis of the answers obtained from the students and the teaching staff, thus identifying, in addition to the objectives achieved, weak points, strong points and possible improvements.
