Abstract:
At all educational levels, active learning methodologies are gaining relevance, as they give students a greater role in the teaching-learning process, fostering group and social relations in their immediate environment, as well as improving competences. Project Based Learning (PBL) is an example of this educational methodology, in which learning goes beyond the classroom.

The master's degree in textile engineering taught at the Universitat Politècnica de València, in the renewal of its syllabus, decided to implement the PBL methodology, so that students work in teams, are able to solve real problems related to the textile industry and interconnect in a transversal way all the knowledge acquired in the subjects that deal with the textile production process.

The impact on student learning has been assessed, among other things, by analysing the results obtained through the comparison of competency rubrics for each of the subjects involved and the assessment of the rate of return obtained.
