Abstract:
The ESHE (European Space of Higher Education) supposes a great transformation of the university in multiple aspects: structure of the studies and duration, role of the professors and students in the education-learning process, design of the formative process, curricular design, used methodologies, and also in the evaluation, that must be coherent with this new model of formation based on skills.
Since 2004 a group of professors teaching in the Degree of Industrial Technical Enigneering in Electricity of EUP-D (Escuela Universitaria Politécnica de Donostia) has been working in mentioned aspects of the implantation of European Credits Transfer System (ECTS) area, and among other achievementes last year developed skills based new evaluation protocoles for some subjects in the fist course of the Degreee of Industrial Technical Engineering in Electricity. These protocoles which use evaluation matrices, were the best could be achived, because had been designed in a cooperative form, they were coherent between different subjects, the instruments of evaluation were coherent with the abilities to be evaluated, and most important, had a formative function and provided a feedback adapted to the pupils.
In this article the authors present the steps taken for the implementation of the mentioned evaluation protocoles in the current academic year 2009/10, and the difficulties that are being found, looking for a new better way of improving learning-teaching process.
