Abstract:
Continuing with the current policy of unification between the academic management and teaching online, SIGMA has been working this year on a new tool that allows teachers to customize what displayed in their virtual classrooms (CMS), based on educational planning.

SIGMA has worked five years integrating its academic management system with learning platforms such as Moodle, and one of the issues that we were detected more frequently is that although you have defined some subjects, groups, and some classrooms, this information is not always sufficient for the creation of virtual classrooms. SIGMA always believed in creating classrooms at the lowest possible level (Subject and Group), to give maximum flexibility.

Over time, we have seen that this policy is the most successful in most cases, but not always. That's why this year we have developed a new tool that allows teachers, under its own unique criteria, to group their Moodle classrooms for better teaching.

The challenge of this project has been to ensure that these groups can be made at any time, are created according to the discretion of the teacher and materials and grades remain grouped in new classrooms.

Under these premises, we have created the MetaGroups tool, which together with the Moodle platform, allows teachers to group courses on a single course, keeping all the materials and grades they had done to date.

Also, we have changed all existing integration tools SIGMA SIS and Moodle to integrate this new functionality, tools such as the transfer of grades that allows the teacher to take their grades Moodle directly to SIS, without copying anything handy.

Today the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid already has this functionality, teachers can group their classrooms, rating them together and the application will be responsible for transferring the note to the records.
