Abstract:
The integration of the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in the classrooms contributes to improve the understanding of the concepts related to a specific subject, amplifies the possible teaching strategies and helps the students to reach a higher responsibility towards their own teaching/learning process. One of the most versatile ICT are the QR codes, which can be used attached to the teaching materials to clarify and/or widen the concepts explained in class.

In this contribution, the use of QR codes, attached to the teaching materials, as a part of the teaching methodology is presented.
The integration of the use of QR codes in a teaching activity, considering the attention needs of the student along the class time, enhances the learning of new concepts and increases the students curiosity towards the course and its contents, and also, for discovering on their own new frontiers of knowledge.
