Abstract:
Laboratory work is essential for the acquisition of the adequate competencies in some undergraduate studies, but often the communication environment is not adequate. For instance, the laboratories for subjects from the Chemistry Degree, due to security reasons, do not have the adequate technological elements to facilitate teacher-student communication, which is often based on discussions over chemical synthesis or crystal structures requiring the use of images, videos and three-dimensional graphics. This work proposes a methodology of use of digital tablets in the laboratory on the part of the teacher (this has been applied to subjects from the Chemistry, but it can be adapted to any other discipline). The use of technological tools such as tablets, which enable to do video streaming exercises among others, has proved to be a stimulus and a participation enhancer for the students in the classes, apart from being an essential tool for the teacher when it comes to showing concepts requiring graphical information or three-dimensional vision.
