Abstract:
There are two intelligence tests being developed and used to identify intellectually gifted students aged eight to 15 years old throughout Malaysia for enrolling the PERMATApintar programs at The Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The UKM1 online test is an open test for the first screening, while UKM2 online test is a controlled test for the second screening. It is a challenging experience of managing these two tests nationwide. Therefore, a system for managing and monitoring UKM1 and UKM2 has been developed using Rapid Application Development methodology. This system is mainly used by the Talent Search and management Unit of PERMATApintar National Gifted Center at UKM. It is also used by the authorized and help desk officers at Ministry of Education Malaysia, State Department of Education and District Education Office. This system is also useful as a decision support system for the selection of the students based on various data for each student’s profile.
