STUDENTS' PERCEPTION ON QUALITY EDUCATION MANAGEMENT IN UNIVERSITY TEKNOLOGI MARA: AN EXPLORATORY STUDY

Abstract:
This exploratory study examines University Teknologi MARA students perception of the effectiveness of their learning based on their evaluation of key factors concerning education management of the university. Some 833 full time students enrolled in different faculty programs were randomly selected. Eight factors were examined to measure the students' perception via , University Leadership, Strategic Planning, Students, Stakeholders and Market Focus, Management, Analysis and Knowledge Management, Faculty and Staff Focus, Process Management, Organisational Performance results and Innovation. Using questionnaires, students were asked to evaluate based on a five-point rating scale, their perceptions against items on these eight factors. Findings showed that the majority of students moderately agreed that the management exhibited qualities in all eight constructs. Test on independent items were also highlighted and discussed in the paper. T-test and ANOVA showed significant difference in students' perceptions of all eight factors.
