Abstract:
This paper delves into teachers' feedback in improving a board game on instilling adab and moral values named Buaya di Bawah Jambatan (BDBJ). The objective that guides this study focuses on the modifications that need to be done in order to improve the game. The game, designed for children in between the age of 4 to 6 years old was piloted at a kindergarten in Malaysia. Two teachers assisted in piloting the game as facilitators with four children aged between 4 to 6 were chosen as the respondents. A qualitative method was used in gathering data through non-participative observation and unstructured interview. Video recordings were also utilised as a mode of capturing the moments while teachers facilitates children in playing the game. A thematic analysis was used in analysing the data.
Findings reveal that:
(1) respondents feel that the game is interesting and able to capture children's interest to play thus help instil moral values and
(2) design need to be made simpler with minimal technology infused to suit digital native children and
(3) the language used need to suit children who are 4 to 6 years old and facilitators need to be well-versed on moral values to facilitate children in playing the game. Keywords:
